If you hearing loud rattling noises coming from your refrigerator, there could be a problem with the fan motor.

This fan motor is responsible for pushing cold air across the evaporator coils, providing cold air to the rest of your unit. When the fan is on there will be an audible sound with normal operation, but a loud noise from the fan motor could mean it is damaged, blocked or faulty.
